National sales manager Peter Mensah is leaving the insurer. His position has been disestablished.

Mensah had been expected to apply for the new position of chief distribution officer but has decided to leave and pursue new opportunities instead.

“Peter has had a long tenure within the organisation and is well respected within the adviser network.  His open nature and friendly disposition have contributed to the strength of the relationships he has built over the years,” chief executive Nadine Tereora said.

“Peter has been a valuable member of the Fidelity Life family and he’ll be missed, especially across the sales team.  We wish him and his family the very best for the future and this next chapter.”

Late last year Tereora announced the internal changes, with a focus on ensuring the company was best structured for future growth and success.

“In particular we have looked at the best operating structure required to enhance our adviser network and support both advisers and customers in our evolving industry.”

Last week the company announced the appointment of Don Allerston to the new role of chief customer officer and recruitment is currently underway for the new role of chief distribution officer.
