ASB has appointed Rachel Whitelaw as general manager of ASB Securities.
She has held the role of acting general manager since January 2017.
A senior member of the ASB Securities team for a number of years, most recently as senior manager product, Whitelaw has worked across a range of roles and functions within the business including support, margin lending, wholesale broking and product management.
ASB executive general manager wealth and insurance Adam Boyd said that experience had given her a deep understanding of ASB Securities and this, combined with her progressive outlook for the future of wealth management in New Zealand, made her a stand-out candidate for the role.
“I’m confident Rachel is the right person to lead the team and support our customers as the platform continues to grow,” he said.
Whitelaw holds a Bachelor of Business (finance and economics) and has previously been accredited as an authorised financial adviser.
