F&P stops deposits

Fisher & Paykel Finance is to stop taking retail deposits, it has been reported.

FlexiGroup, which bought the company from Haier, reportedly plans to repay about $80 million across 2000 investments.

All existing investors will be repaid by the end of February and no further deposits are being taken.
