Newpark is setting up a new dealer group specifically for home loan advisers.

It has appointed long-time Sovereign employee Andrew Scott as general manager Newpark Home Loans.

Scott has had "a long and successful career in sales distribution," he says on LinkedIn. "I am well known as an 'old school' sales professional that fervently believes in the value of person relationships in developing business."

"With an ethos of driving user-centric outcomes for all stakeholders, I am a proven relationship builder and strategic ideas man that is passionate about driving industry-firsts in environments that are challenged by their lack of responsiveness, complexity and ambiguity."

Newpark independent business development manager Darren Gannon says the group has not played seriously in the mortgage space before.
