Group preparing for code consultation

Code working group chairman Angus Dale-Jones says it is making good progress on its draft code of conduct for the sector.

He had previously said it wanted to wait for the select committee report on the Financial Services Legislation Amendment Bill before conducting further consultation on the code that will guide the sector.

Dale-Jones said the group planned to consult publicly on its draft code during October.

It aims to present a code to the minister either before Christmas or early in the new year.

FSLAB will take effect nine months after the code of conduct is approved.
