Auckland: Apartment demand holds

International student demand will help keep apartment prices up following the America's Cup loss, Auckland real estate agents say.

Barfoot and Thompson's marketing manager, Tony Worsp, says the Cup loss won't have a major impact on the market...

There are 157 apartment buildings in the CBD with another 47 being built, Mr Dunn says.

"I feel we are going to go in the next two years from 6000 to 9000 apartments and I hope the demand is there. I am very sceptical that the Cup loss will have a bad effect on the economy."
