There is more ammunition for those who believe there is still plenty of heat in the property market.

Real Estate company Harcourts says September was the best ever month in the company's history.

It sold more than 3,300 properties with a collective value of $821 million.

That averages out at one sale every 13 minutes with properties worth just over $1 million changing hands every hour.

Harcourts' Chief Executive, Bryan Thomson, says he sees no sign of the property market slowing, with buyers continuing to outnumber sellers.
