Auckland council cuts loom after leaky house claims

The Auckland City Council may cut money from general services to pay for growing leaky house claims.

The council faces $4 million in claims for 42 leaky homes but a further 885 potential claims have yet to be processed. New claims are still coming in.

Auckland City has the biggest number of claims in the region. North Shore Council is second with 246 registrations.
