Care urged over property seminars

A company hosting property seminars in Christchurch directs investors to a company linked to a Queensland businessman alleged to have tricked hundreds of people in a Gold Coast property scheme.

Press investigations have revealed Silverfern Asset Solutions refers investors to Auckland Financial Management Corporation (AFMC) – a wholly owned subsidiary of Robb Resources whose only shareholder, Dudley James Quinlivan, was once dubbed the "King Con of Queensland" by a minister in the Queensland Parliament.

Mr Quinlivan is one of 13 parties alleged to have used misleading or deceptive conduct in the marketing of residential units on the Gold Coast.
