Smashing attack on property agent

A man evicted from his home went berserk at the office of a property management firm, smashing windows and a parked car with an iron bar.

Staff huddled inside the Barfoot and Thompson office in Takapuna as a man swung a metal broom-handle at their street-front windows, smashing $7000-worth of glass.

He also caused $1000 damage to a car he apparently thought belonged to a staff member, although it was owned by a member of the public.
