Residents warned to be cautious

Elderly people are being warned to be careful if approached by people offering to do work around the house after one Palmerston North woman was almost stung for $1300 to remove two trees.

The two men, who would not give their names or the name of their company, asked the Hokowhitu woman to sign a contract and then carried on with the work. The woman was not given a copy of the contract.
