A small piece of Northland coastline complete with a one-bedroom bach has sold for almost a million dollars.

The plain 40sq m bach, at Kawharewa Bay, Tutukaka, 30km north east
of Whangarei, on 2569sq m of land, went under the auctioneer's hammer on Monday for more than $900,000, according to First National real estate agent John Clegg who sold the property.
