Homes more affordable in Northland

Northland homes are still more affordable than the rest of the country, according to the latest AMP Home Affordability Report.

The affordability of Northland homes has improved by 1.3 per cent in the quarter ending December 2003.

Nine other regions recorded an affordability decline ranging from 1.1 per cent to 13.4 per cent.

The affordability of New Zealand homes dropped by almost six per cent in the last quarter as house prices continued to climb across the country.
