Following on from recent announcements that Queen St will receive a $25 million facelift and Quay St a $5m upgrade, Auckland's ratepayers are asked to comment about another significant streetscape investment.
The Auckland City Council plans to spend $3m on an upgrade of Lorne St and connecting public areas, including courtyards and walkways around the Auckland Art Gallery, over the next three years.
The council's recreation and events committee chairman, councillor Scott Milne, says the proposed Lorne St upgrade will create "an attractive, user-friendly public space".
