In the month to September 10, 16 of the 17 lending institutions offering fixed term rates increased their rates by between 0.05 and 0.41%. However, this rise in interest rates is less than last month, when rates increased by between 0.10 to 0.65%.

Floating interest rates stabilised, having eased by between 0.20 and 0.25% in the month to August 10, with most mortgage providers leaving their floating rates unchanged. The current floating interest rates range from between 6.55 to 7.10%.
