A strong economy is leaving Reserve Bank governor Alan Bollard little choice but to raise interest rates on December 4, some economists say.

Others argue that the next interest rate rise will probably be March, rather than December or January.
Dr Bollard will also have to weigh the impact of an ever-rising dollar, hitting another six-year high at US62.6 cents yesterday, on strong job figures.
