Kiwi borrowing outstrips income

New Zealander's are borrowing more - cashing in on booming house prices and confident that their incomes will keep up.

"There is obviously a high willingness to borrow to buy houses and this suggests people have few fears of the global environment," Alexander says.
He says the BNZ expects household borrowing to continue in excess of income growth and probably near 10% in the next year.
