Kapiti Coast financial adviser Chris Lee is in the spotlight after the Sunday Star-Times highlighted his analysis of investment risk in finance companies.

Lee's website - featuring his views on the best and worst finance companies - received 10,000 hits in two days after an article in the Star-Times last week.
"You (Sunday Star-Times) have highlighted what a lack of knowledge the public and advisers have in finance companies," Lee said.
"There are literally thousands of investors who have no idea what they have invested in."
That was confirmed this week when Tower revealed research showing nearly 68 per cent of advisers felt they lacked the skills to understand finance companies.
Lee said the finance companies themselves appeared to share the concern.
