$9.1 billion invested in debentures

New Zealanders now have more than $9.1 billion invested in finance company debentures, according to interest.co.nz.

That is an increase of 19 per cent, or $1.4 billion, year-on-year.

More than 60 finance companies now offer deposit products.

The big five - UDC, Marac, South Canterbury Finance, Elders Finance and Bridgecorp - account for 52 per cent of the market.
