Crocker Strata Management principal Rob Macdonald, whose firm looks after more than 7000 apartments and units, said the Unit Titles Act was more than 30 years old and should be overhauled.
He said Crocker had taken over a body corporate where the developer of the apartments had "effectively enshrined a power of veto to himself in the rules, meaning that the majority of the members had to go to court to get control of their own body corporate".
