DIY limit 'not set in concrete'

A proposed law change that would restrict home-owners' right to work on their houses without supervision could yet be altered.

An Economic Development Ministry spokeswoman said the limit on the value of some types of work that could be done without supervision might be raised from the suggested figure of $10,000.

"Nothing is set in concrete," she said. "The final figure is yet to be determined."
