Timaru house sales have done it again, setting yet another record high for the value of homes sold in a single month.

Figures released by the real estate institute this week, show 108 homes sold for $17.4 million during April.
While there was one fewer sale than the previous month, those sold were worth $1.8 million more than those sold in March.
The high price has been influenced by a number of the more expensive homes being sold as well as new apartments adjacent to the main road near the Bay Hill.
