Agents Darren Laskey and Matty Ma and property rental manager Jeff Brill, all of Cooper & Co, trading as Harcourts at Glenfield, are allowed to continue selling and renting properties.

The board threw out a challenge to their licences but expressed concern that all three agents worked at the same firm, questioning their supervision and training.

Mr Laskey and Matty Ma had little understanding of important aspects of real estate practice, the board found. Mr Brill was running a property investment scheme from his office without the knowledge of the firm's licensee, Martin Cooper, it said.

The three agents were involved in three separate property deals; two involved the sale of houses to their colleagues, but the home-owners later complained when they found out about the relationships. The third deal involved Mr Brill's investment scheme.
