Owners of the 85-unit Grafton complex between Spaghetti Junction and Symonds St have filed a claim against seven parties involved in developing the apartment complex, which in turn had named a further eight parties to the proceedings.

Quantity surveying firm Kingston Partners was named when the claim was filed, but its name has now been released. A director of Kingston Partners, Mike Casey, said an application was made in the High Court at Auckland in March for a discontinuance of the claim against the firm because its input into the project was in relation to cost control and did not involve any design.
