The Market St site, one of Blenheim's few two-storey shops, is due to be auctioned as a vacant building at the end of next month.

Millers owner Bruce McDougall said the business was not closing down but he did not want to comment further on its future at this stage.

The Millers buying group was established by LB Miller early last century with branded shops dotted around the country.

The McDougall family took over the Blenheim store in the 1960s, with Mr McDougall's father Leslie running the shop up until the 1990s.
