Improving market encourages more sales at Pegasus

Another sign the property market is improving is the decision by Infinity Group to sell 15 houses at its Pegasus town development this weekend. Pegasus Town managing director Bob Robertson says that two months ago such a sale would have been unlikely to be successful. Now he has strong indications the sales will go well at the weekend.

The factors which earlier this year would have stopped the sales were uncertainty about where the property market was heading and difficulty getting funding from banks.

He says there is now more confidence in the housing market and it seems banks have sorted many of their problems and are more willing to lend.

To help buyers Pegasus has a deposit assistance available interest-free for two years for qualifying purchasers.
The properties being offered are what it calls The Courtyard Range of two and three bedroom homes, in one and two level designs.

Fifteen house and land packages, starting from $269,000, will be made available as part of a the sale.
Robertson says the homes are “perfect for first home buyers or as a convenient down-sizing option” but also will appeal to investors.

He says there is good rental demand for property in and around the area at the moment because there are so many people involved in the development.

He also suggests that properties in this development will see capital gains, particularly off the back of all the amenities.

The amenities, such as a lake, golf course and wetlands will add value to the area and help push up values over time.

This, he says, makes Pegasus different from other developments.

The Courtyard Range offers a number of designs, from contemporary masonry homes in a variety of colours to fresh and bright seaside dwellings. A range of features, including verandas, balconies, bay windows, sunrooms and decks, give each home a distinctive character. Each property also includes private courtyards, terraced areas, and landscaped gardens, orientated to maximise sunlight and shelter.

“It’s a great way to get into the housing market for first home buyers, or the perfect modern, easy-care option for people that don’t like to be tied to a larger section. The Courtyard Range could also provide an ideal investment option, or even a second home for holidaying at Pegasus.”
