Solid apartments 'sought-after'

Well-built, non-leaky apartments are likely to increase in value because of the collapse of Mainzeal, property commentator Olly Newland says.

He said some leaky building repairs might now never happen or would at least be seriously delayed because Mainzeal was one of the major players in the field.

Several inner-city apartment residents in Auckland have spoken to the media about their concerns at stalled repair work.

All four apartments at a recent Ray White City auction were sold under the hammer. A leasehold property on Princes Wharf sold before the auction for $75,000.
