Open2view.com’s “private viewing” option allows agents and vendors to use all the normal services but provides extra discretion for those who want to control who can – and cannot – see their listing.

Managing director Chris Bates said: “Private Viewing is ideal for agents with sensitive clients who do not wish for their property to be viewed by the wider public. This means they can still have professional photos, floorplans, videos and more, while having ultimate control over who gets to see the listing.”
Listings can either be password-protected, require a valid email or agent permission.

Properties with Private Viewing enabled will not show up on Open2view.com, Google, or in any other search results.

Bates said the function enabled better communication between real estate agents, home sellers, and serious house buyers.

An agent might know someone who was looking to buy a property similar to the listing; they could then send that person an invitation to view without making the listing public.

Bates said: “With online privacy breaches dominating headlines this year, we’re pleased to score a victory on behalf of those who still believe in the sanctity of privacy.”
