SBS general manager moves to HSBC

Martine Milicich, a senior banker at SBS responsible for retail distribution, has left the Southland lender to join HSBC.

Milicich was formerly general manager, member banking, retail distribution at SBS. She held the role from November 2015 until last month. 

The experienced banker was responsible for SBS's retail channels including brokers and mobile mortgage managers. Milicich was also repsonsible for digital channels, branch networks, and branch contact center.

Prior to her role at SBS, Milicich worked at TD Bank in the United States, and also spent 9 years at ANZ, and 9 years at National Bank. She graduated from the University of Auckland.

Milicich has started at HSBC, where she takes on the role of Country Head, Retail & Wealth Management.

At SBS, Milicich has been replaced by Mark McLean, the bank confirmed.
