It has launched Advisery, a website that gives Asteron advisers access to subject matter experts and the ability to pose questions and ask for help.

Asteron Life executive manager of life distribution Graham Hill said the insurer wanted to do everything it could to make the changes easy for advisers and also help them take advantage of the opportunities it created.

“You’re probably already overloaded with the sheer amount of information about this so rather than throw even more at you we want to take a more interactive approach,” he said in an introductory video.

He said Advisery would be a two-way conversation between advisers and a panel of experts, often through video.

“You ask a question and we provide the commentary and resources to help you navigate through the changes.”

There will also be workshops online and in-person and content will evolve through the transitional phase, including best practice advice, licensing and compliance and training dates.

Asteron said it would also include written guides and other content such as polls.

Transitional licensing opens November 4.

To continue giving advice after June 20, advisers must have a transitional licence as a financial advice provider, or work for someone who does.
