FMA issues scam warning

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has warned investors to be wary of scammers impersonating New Zealand-based derivatives issuer Rockfort Markets Limited.

Tuesday, July 27th 2021, 1:08PM

The warning follows several complaints to the FMA about investors - mainly based overseas - being scammed by people using the www.rockfortmarket.net, www.rockfortcrypto.com and www.rockfort-markets.com websites with Rockfort Markets confirming it is not associated with these websites.

The only legitimate Rockfort Markets website is www.rockfortmarkets.com.

The FMA says it is critical investors check they are dealing with the correct entity after noting a rise in scams impersonating New Zealand businesses in the past year.
