The conference, titled ‘Be Inspired, Be Energised’, runs tomorrow and Wednesday and has been moved online due to Covid-19 alert level restrictions.

Financial Advice NZ chief executive Katrina Shanks says the format will be dynamic, interactive and user friendly.

“We would have loved to have held it in a face-to-face setting because that’s how financial advisers work, and especially after we were forced to cancel last year’s national gathering, but it was not to be.

“However, this is the next best thing and we believe we will deliver an event that is pretty special.

“We have a truly inspiring and energising line-up of speakers who will give delegates key insights and practical tools to end their year on a high note and set them up for a big 2022.”

Shanks says the format will allow delegates and sponsors to view the programme, attend any sessions they choose (live or later on demand), download content, and network with other delegates and sponsors freely via the platform's ‘breakout rooms’ and live chat forums.

During the conference, Financial Advice NZ will also launch two new research projects, present the Financial Advice NZ Awards, hold a "fireside chat" with Noel Maye from the Financial Planning Standards Board as well as provide access to a Financial Markets Authority representative to answer any licensing questions delegates might have.
