As an insights-led investment platform Flint Wealth wants to make it easier for New Zealand investors to have access to information on ethical investing.
It is the first retail investment platform in New Zealand to display information on funds’ RIAA certification. The Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) is the membership organisation that champions responsible investing and a sustainable financial system in Australia and New Zealand.
"We recognise the fact that New Zealanders are wanting to know where their money is going and want to invest in ethical funds that align with their values," Flint says in a statement.
Flint customers can now search by RIAA certified funds and find information on each fund through the platform.
“There is a dramatic groundswell of demand from consumers and organisations within Aotearoa New Zealand to have their money invested in line with their values,” Responsible Investment Association Australasia chief executive Simon O’Connor says.
“That’s why independent verification of an investment product’s sustainability claims is so critical and valued by many New Zealanders. Our partnership with Flint Wealth will allow Kiwi investors to easily identify what products have been certified by RIAA, giving them confidence their money is in funds who are delivering on their claims.”
