Chief executive officer Lance Walker says their IT provider is working with their own forensic experts and government agencies to understand the nature and extent of the impact.

“We have also notified the relevant regulatory authorities including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. At this stage we have no evidence that any Accuro data has been compromised, but we cannot rule out this possibility.”

Their current focus is to investigate and understand the situation further and will continue to communicate directly with advisers and clients and with updates on their website.

Walker says their systems remain offline which will impact services while they work towards a solution, however will still be processing applications.

“We are still accepting new applications but will not be prioritizing these so they may take longer than usual to process. It is also possible that your commission payment may be late if our system is not operational by Monday. If the system is down for longer than a week, we will pay you the same amount as your last month’s commissions and work through any difference at a later date.”

The Accuro team is working hard to maintain key services while they work through this issue.

For any urgent queries, the Accuo team is encouraged to contact their Accuro Relationship Manager in the first instance or sales@accuro.co.nz
