The fixture, in July, will open Tottenham Hotspur’s 2026 pre-season tour. It marks the iconic club’s first visit to New Zealand in 50 years, before travelling to Australia for the Sydney Super Cup.
Bringing together two clubs with passionate fan bases, the match will also be a milestone for Auckland FC, who will meet Premier League opposition for the first time. It offers New Zealand football fans a rare chance to see international club football on home soil.
AIA is the Global Principal Partner of Tottenham Hotspur FC. Nick Stanhope, AIA New Zealand CEO, says supporting the club’s match in New Zealand aligns with AIA’s Purpose; to help people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
"Sport plays a powerful role in inspiring healthier living, and football brings together movement, connection and community – all essential ingredients for wellbeing,” he says.
