DESCRIPTION:Workshop Overview\nThis workshop has been jointly developed bet
 ween Financial Advice New Zealand and Professional IQ College (PIQ)\, with
  input from the major banks.\nThe workshop includes NZQA accredited Reside
 ntial Property Lending Strand training and business and specialist lending
 . As well as attending the three-day workshop\, you will be required to co
 mplete 4 unit standard assessments after the course to receive the Residen
 tial Property Lending Strand Certificate. You have up to 3 months to compl
 ete this.\nThe course&rsquo\;s practical format prepares new advisers for 
 their regulatory requirements\; how to work with lenders\; meeting client 
 needs and the practicalities of running a mortgage advice business. The co
 urse also incorporates feedback from the industry and has received strong 
 support from both adviser dealer groups and lenders.\nBeing in-house\, you
  gain the benefits of being with other students in an interactive and open
  learning environment that delivers greater levels of learning than other 
 &lsquo\;online&rsquo\; or &lsquo\;remote&rsquo\; courses. The course conte
 nt includes loan structures and best practice loan applications.\nWhat you
  need to know:\nRequired Qualification to be a Financial Adviser (Resident
 ial Property Lending) &ndash\; from 29 June 2020\nFrom 29 June 2020 all ne
 w financial advisers will be required\, under the new legislation and regu
 lations\, to attain the NZ Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 (NZCF
 SL5) in their area of advice. By attaining now your Residential Property L
 ending module of that qualification\, you have started down the path of me
 eting your future requirements! However after 29 June 2020 new advisers wi
 ll also have to attain the &lsquo\;core component&rsquo\; of the qualifica
 tion &ndash\; so we highly recommend you sign up for this also.\nPIQ Colle
 ge in conjunction with Skills Org offer the Level 5 &lsquo\;Training Agree
 ment Rebate&rsquo\; of $550+GST for students in employment who sign up to 
 the entire qualification. Please read as strict conditions apply.\nNote: i
 f you are already a financial adviser and going to be under a Financial Ad
 vice Provider &lsquo\;transitional licence&rsquo\; you will have until Jun
 e 29 2022 to attain your full competency requirements &ndash\; that is: at
 taining the &lsquo\;core component&rsquo\; residential property lending st
 rand of the NZCFSL5.\n \nWorkshop fees - $1\,295.00 plus GST\nThis include
 s course material\, morning and afternoon tea\, lunch and the NZQA assessm
 ent (residential property strand only) and 15 hours CPD.\n \nCourse Tutor 
 - Angi Mann BA BBS Cert AdEd\nAngi has had extensive training and adviser 
 experience in the lending sector and wider financial services and is an ap
 proved Professional IQ College assessor for NZQA qualifications for level 
 4 and 5 qualifications.\nShe has attained BA and Business Studies degree f
 rom Massey University and holds a Massey qualification in Adult Education
  \nWorkshop Requirements\nTo complete the course you must hold a NZ passpo
 rt or permanent residency\, you will be required to provide your passport 
 or birth certificate as proof. Also\, students must meet the English langu
 age requirements.\n \nGetting Accreditation\nAttaining the Residential Len
 ding module is an education requirement to become accredited with some New
  Zealand lenders. It is best to discuss your situation with the lenders to
  understand your individual accreditation requirements.\nSome lenders also
  require advisers to belong to an &lsquo\;aggregation&rsquo\; group Please
  note that the aggregation groups may also have their own requirements you
  must meet. Again\, it is best to have a chat with the groups too. Find ou
 t what they offer and which one best fits you.\nIf you would like to discu
 ss these requirements and your eligibility to join an aggregation group pl
 ease speak to course tutor Angi Mann who will refer you to the appropriate
  person. Course cancellation The course will not go ahead if there is an i
 nsufficient number of enrolments. You will be notified of cancellation at 
 least 5 working days prior to the course start date.\nIMPORTANT NOTE: If y
 ou are travelling to Auckland for this course we advise you take out fligh
 t-insurance cover with Jetstar or Air New Zealand in case of disruptions\,
  unexpected travel issues or course cancellation. If you wish to cancel &n
 dash\; a minimum of 5 working days notice is required to cancel your place
  on the course\, otherwise\, you will be charged a 25% cancellation fee.\n
