 esidential Property Lending Strand of the Level 5 New Zealand Certificate 
 in Financial Services.\nIt provides an in-depth understanding of residenti
 al property lending concepts\, legislation and regulations that are of par
 ticular relevance to the provision of residential property lending service
 s.\nIt also considers the residential property market\, and the relationsh
 ip between residential property lending and individuals&rsquo\; needs\, to
  ensure appropriate solutions to borrowing needs.\nKey lending concepts an
 d frameworks are applied to develop solutions for a range of lending situa
 tions.\nThe third day of this course is a practical workshop.\nThis worksh
 op will give attendees the chance to interview clients in a simulated envi
 ronment where they will gather information\; create a diary note\; fill in
  an application\; find and present the correct documentation including usi
 ng a lending calculator\, and draft a mortgage-specific statement of advic
 e (SOA).\nThe course will also feature real life mortgage applications (ap
 propriately sanitised) and give candidates the chance to identify what is 
 deficient and why the lender may decline it.\nAttendees will then list wha
 t needs to be included for the application to have a good chance of succee
 ding. (Note this additional training is NOT available via online learning.
 ) The Residential Property Lending Strand should be considered the minimum
  education for anyone wanting to become a mortgage adviser\, plus mortgage
  advisers wanting to upskill\, and is recognised as the benchmark by major
  lending institutions in New Zealand.\nThis Strand is also suitable for th
 ose wishing to work as financial advisers\, private bankers\, and credit m
