DESCRIPTION:This 3 day course covers the Residential Property Lending Stran
 d of the Level 5 New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services.\nIt provid
 es an in-depth understanding of residential property lending concepts\, le
 gislation and regulations that are of particular relevance to the provisio
 n of residential property lending services.\nIt also considers the residen
 tial property market\, and the relationship between residential property l
 ending and individuals&rsquo\; needs\, to ensure appropriate solutions to 
 borrowing needs. Key lending concepts and frameworks are applied to develo
 p solutions for a range of lending situations.\nThe third day of this cour
 se is a practical workshop. This workshop will give attendees the chance t
 o interview clients in a simulated environment where they will gather info
 rmation\; create a diary note\; fill in an application\; find and present 
 the correct documentation including using a lending calculator\, and draft
  a mortgage-specific statement of advice (SOA).\nThe course will also feat
 ure real life mortgage applications (appropriately sanitised) and give can
 didates the chance to identify what is deficient and why the lender may de
 cline it. Attendees will then list what needs to be included for the appli
 cation to have a good chance of succeeding. (Note this additional training
  is NOT available via online learning.)\nThe Residential Property Lending 
 Strand should be considered the minimum education for anyone wanting to be
 come a mortgage adviser\, plus mortgage advisers wanting to upskill\, and 
 is recognised as the benchmark by major lending institutions in New Zealan
