Royal and SunAlliance has appointed Christchurch businessman Richard Elworthy to the boards of both its fire and general and life companies in New Zealand.
Elworthy is managing director of Pyne Gould Corporation which runs a group of companies with interests in finance companies, trustee companies, rural servicing, insurance and utility investment.
He is a director of South Eastern Utilities and Reid Farmers Ltd, as well as being a director of Pyne Gould Corporation and a board representative on all that organisation's group companies, namely; Pyne Gould Guinness Ltd, Allied Finance Ltd, Finance and Discounts Ltd, BMW Financial Services Ltd, Nissan Finance Ltd, PGG Trust Ltd and Perpetual Trust Ltdis
