Derek Waller has been appointed national sales manager for Colonial Investment Management's retail business, Joseph Banks.
Waller was previously the marketing executive (northern region) for Tower Trust Services, and prior to that worked for National Mutual in Christchurch and Wellington.
CIM chief executive Bruce Abraham says Waller will be based in Auckland because of the potential business volume and the importance of that market.
He will manage and direct all sales activities of the Joseph Banks sales team as well as being active with distributors throughout New Zealand.
"A key part of our business strategy is to improve the level of commitment given to servicing the important financial planning network," Abraham says.
