David May has been appointed managing director of Colonial in New Zealand following its acquistion of Prudential. Former Pru general manager John Molloy is taking up a new role as managing director of Colonial UK.
Shane McNally has been appointed chief operating officer and will be responsible for all distribution. Reporting to McNally will be five general managers including Howard Horder who will manage the advisor force in the short term. Later he will take a senior position elsewhere and Scott Black will take over this role.
John Grant, another direct report, is responsible for the franchise channel which will additionally assume responsibility for developing Colonial's future strategy for its face-to-face distribution networkde
