McClatchy to head up ING Investment Management business

ING Investment Management Australia chief investment officer David McClatchy will take on the chief executive mantle following the overseas posting of incumbent Grant Bailey.

"[David] brings to his new role strong investment knowledge and a range of skills which are ideally suited to guiding the Australian business through the next exciting stage of its development," ING IM Asia/Pacific chief executive Chris Ryan said.

Bailey will head to Dubai in October to run a new ING wealth management business operation.

ING IM's investment teams will continue to report directly McClatchy. McClatchy has held the role as chief investment officer and deputy chief executive since June 2004. Prior to that he was cio of ING NZ.
