Sovereign's new head of home loans

Sovereign has appointed Adam Heath as general manager, Home Loans. Heath has held various roles in the ASB Group over the past 12 years, most recently for three years as Sovereign's General Manager – Risk and Health.

He will have responsibility for the overall strategic direction of Sovereign's home loan portfolio, including the continued focus on customer service and business growth. He and the wider home loans team will also progress the work commenced in 2005 focusing on strengthening the home loans and risk value proposition for advisers.

Heath takes over from Adrienne Smith, who left Sovereign in May to become the chief operating officer at NZ Finance.
