Southern Cross appoints three

Southern Cross Healthcare has made three key appointments.

Harley Gray is the new chairman of Southern Cross Hospitals, while Graeme Hawkins and Mark Verbiest are joining the Medical Care Society board.

Gray, whose previous role was at Auckland’s Middlemore Hospital, replaces Jeff Todd who is stepping down as chairman but will remain a director. Gray will step down from the Medical Care Society board in order to fully devote himself to his new role.

Hawkins has been a professional director for 15 years, while Verbiest was group general counsel and member of Telecom’s senior executive team.
