IFA appoints investment group committee

The Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA) has made three new appointments to its Investments Special Interest Group (SIG).

Joining David Gordon on the committee are; Anthony Edmonds who is the Head of Sales and Marketing for AMP Capital Investors; Michelle Forster from Westpac. She is a senior private banker but has had experience as a senior portfolio manager for Goldman Sachs JBWere Group in Australia and as a financial planner in South Africa and the Channel Islands. The third new member is financial planner Simon Hassan.

The chairman of the SIG is David Gordon who works for Public Trust where he is involved with managing investment decisions.

The IFA also has filled two Practitioner Director positions on the board. These have been taken by Nigel Tate and Tony Vidler.

Ross Butler completes his term as an independent director on June 30, after serving the maximum number of terms. The IFA Appointments Committee will be making a recommendation to Council next month on a replacement independent director.
