Smedley leaves Guardian Trust

Ian Smedley has recently joined Public Trust as National Manager, Business Services based in Auckland.

He will be responsible for delivering Public Trust’s Business Segment strategy.

Public Trust’s General Manager Sales and Service Alex Polaschek says, “Ian’s appointment demonstrates the importance Public Trust places on development within the business sector. Ian will draw on his wealth of trustee industry experience to help ensure we at Public Trust continue to provide a high quality service that focuses on the needs and expectations of our business customers.”

Smedley has spent a number years in senior roles at Guardian Trust, the last two years as National Manager, Client Relationships. He has also managed the marketing of retail investment funds and held roles in trust management and business development. Smedley is a member of the Executor & Trustee Institute and holds a Diploma in Management from the University of Auckland.
