TOWER gets Asteron man into team

TOWER has announced the latest executive team changes in the wake of its decision to move to a functional operating model.

Friday, December 17th 2010, 12:21PM

Steve Boomert, Health and Life CEO, has departed and Tower Insurance CEO James Douglas is set to leave his post at the end of March.

TOWER said the departures were due to the nature of the roles available in its new structure, and while supportive of the changes the new opportunities are not in line with the career paths of the departing group executive members.

Antony Vriens joins TOWER from Asteron on December 20 taking the role of general manager, Product and Pricing.

Debbie Eyre, currently the acting Health and Life CEO, will become general manager, Customer Services and Michael Boggs will join in March as chief operating officer.

TOWER Investments CEO Sam Stubbs, chief information officer Tony Dixon and company secretary Bronwyn Walsh all continue in their existing roles.

Current group chief financial officer Eric O'Sullivan will complete his current role at the start of March 2011 and will continue with Tower in a contract capacity.

The appointment process for general manager, Distribution and Marketing, is expected to be completed shortly.
