Kiwibank has moved its focus from fixed rates to promoting its offset loan product, and has dropped the rate on its offset loan from 5.50% to 5.25%. Kiwibank and BNZ are the only two banks to offer offset loans. With these loans borrowers can offset their debt interest with interest on deposits. For more on what Kiwibank has done click here
