Steven Parsons is joining Newpark as its Technology Development Manager in 2017. Newpark says its technology offering is seen as a major value add for its members and Parsons brings a wealth of experience to the group.

Parsons started in the financial services industry in 1994, working for insurance companies, specifically responsible for improving and enabling the way that advisers use technology to engage with clients and/or prospects. He has more than 25 years experience in the technology industry with a specific emphasis on solutions that improve the sales engagement process.

In a previous role he rolled out more than 100 tablets to advisers enabling them to use a pen opposed to a keyboard and mouse. Many tablet users virtually eliminated paper in their business. He also brings with him a wealth of knowledge with CRM systems and being able to work anywhere/anytime using wireless technology.

"Parsons has a passion for providing advisers with easy to use technology solutions that can be used in sales engagements, whether a first appointment, fact find, needs analysis, or actually signing up the business at point of sale. He also has a passion for making technology simple and in fact when he ran his own business in 2003 for a year specialising in tablet technology, his slogan was “Making IT Simple”, Newpark managing director Darren Gannon says.

Parsons will be focused on ensuring that Newpark's technology offerings are the best in market, Gannon says.

Well done, Darren. What an awesome coup! The Newpark offering is now second to none, and every reason for advisers to stay, and if you're not yet a Newpark adviser, drool over what you're missing!
