It has hired Nicole Stewart as a client support representative, with a focus on helping independent financial advisers and their administrators on the Consilium Platform.

CFA level one candidate Lydia Luo has also been appointed to an analytical role.

“Consilium’s model portfolios seek to outperform relevant benchmark indices by consistently allocating to parts of the market where higher long term expected returns can be found. Investments are selected based on an asset class investment philosophy, supported by considerable academic research. We adhere to a strategic asset allocation process which is incredibly detailed, and having Lydia join the team demonstrates our commitment to continue building better portfolio solutions for our client base. While 2016 was a stellar year for our model portfolios, it is equally important that we design portfolios robust enough to withstand a wide range of market conditions”, Consilium chief investment officer Damon O’Brien said.

Scott Alman said the company had a focus on appointing the right people to assist with the growth of its client base and commitment to investing in its services.

"We are excited to have found people who fit with our purpose and values, and these appointments will only enhance Consilium’s ability to support the quality, reputation and reach of financial advisers."

Consilium works with 70 advice firms around the country, managing more than $1.8 billion.
